MD Program

Caribbean School of Medicine offers a US modeled MD program designed to prepare you for medical practice in the U.S., Canada, and beyond. The program seeks to train tomorrow’s physicians, whose service to their communities and their patients will be impactful. The Doctor of Medicine program at AUC combines intense classroom study, simulated exercises, and community service. As an AUC student, you will start your path to becoming a physician in St. Maarten or Preston, United Kingdom. Over the course of five semesters, you will be free to interact with your medical teachers and classmates on your campus to participate in intensive study of the medical sciences. The objective of the AUC curriculum is to assist you in becoming an adaptable expert with a command of medical concepts and the ability to apply this knowledge to guide patient diagnosis and treatment. Medical Education Readiness Program (MERP)

The Medical Education Readiness Program (MERP) is a 15-week medical school introductory program offered to students who have been granted conditional acceptance to AUC. It’s designed to equip students with the additional academic preparation to encourage medical school success.   MERP is designed to prepare students to succeed at AUC by:

#2 Dean’s academic scholarship

This $47,600 grant, equivalent to two semesters of tuition, is given to candidates with a high overall undergraduate GPA or MCAT score. This grant is exclusively available to eligible entering first-semester AUC students. (The award amount has been increased from $46,480 to $56,480 for students starting on or after August 30, 2022. #5 Merp success scholarship

At the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC), our curricula and philosophy are rooted in collaboration and community. Through MERP Success Scholarship, incoming students who have successfully completed the MERP program are awarded the scholarship.

To be eligible, you need:
