Brief History of Keiser University

In 1977, Arthur Keiser and his mother, Evelyn, brought to existence a career in college named the Keiser School in Fort Lauderdale to better make ready students for jobs in Florida’s developing business and healthcare communities. In 1982, including advocacy and computer programs, the institution changed to the Keiser Institute of Technology. And in the year 1986, the school awarded associate degrees to become Keiser College. In the year 2001, Keiser brought to existence its first bachelor’s degree programs. And after five years, in the year 2006, to make money, especially in relation to an organization that was not formerly, or is not usually, run to make money (for-profit) institution again changed its name to become Keiser University.  But in 2010, the Florida Attorney General started to under-seek Keiser University and various other for-profit institutions that are based in the state, however, by 2012 the discovery attempt was closed and Keiser got into what we call an “assurance of voluntary compliance”. In the year 2011, the University turned from a ‘for-profit to a not-for-profit model’, right when Arthur Keiser sold the institution for an undisclosed sum to Everglades College Inc. that is a non-profit entity founded by Keiser which also operates as Everglades University. In 2015, Keiser University included a 100-acre principal residential campus in West Palm Beach, on the site of what was previously Northwood University’s Florida campus. The aim of trying to expand was to help in providing students with a residential, traditional, academic experience in West Palm Beach, Florida. In the year 2016, the institution launched the new College of Chiropractic Medicine, with Dr. Michael Wiles, who served as the Dean. This is the first program of its kind begun in South Florida. In 2017, CEO and President Arthur Keiser became chair of the United States Department of Education’s National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI). Keiser was the first to be appointed by the Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings and also reappointed twice by Republicans. Read Also: 13 Best Online Colleges in Jacksonville Florida
