About the Mora Scholarship 2021

The Ministry of Religious Affairs officially launched a new scholarship program for lecturers and educational staff within the Islamic Religious Higher Education (PTKI) called the Mora Scholarships Award.  There are several schemes provided through the program, one of which is Scholarship Studies S3 that can be taken at colleges in the country and abroad. The scholarship is now popularized as Kemenag is a 5,000 Doctor Program. This scholarship program is offered to Kemenag every year to provide opportunities for permanent lecturers and educational staff at Islamic religious colleges (PTKI) to continue study S3 in the country or abroad. Through the scholarship, over the next five years, Kemenag targets to produce 5,000 doctorates.

Here Is What To Look Out For

The Kemenag Scholarship Program 5000 Doctorate provided by the Ministry of Religious Affairs is a full scholarship. Scholarship duration is given up to 6 semesters, with 2 semester renewal period. S3 scholarship coverage for study in the country, including education costs consisting of fees SPP, examination fees, and other costs in accordance with the Rector’s Decree at the study site. In addition to tuition fees, scholarship recipients also receive student fees which include registration fees, living expenses/operational costs, book/reference money, as well as research costs.

What is interesting about this Kemenag scholarship is the absence of age restrictions for applicants. This is different from most scholarship programs. In the absence of such age restrictions, then the opportunity to register is more open. Provided that you serve in the institution of PTKI, for example, lecturer IAIN, UIN, STAIN, STAI, etc.

Level/Field of Study

The Mora scholarship Kemenag is open to postgraduates to any course in any of the universities in the country.

Host Nationality

This Kemenag scholarship is to be taken in Indonesia and out of the COUNTRY.

Eligible Nationality

The scholarship is open to Indonesian Nationals. However, not only applicants from PTKI, applicants from the Public University (PTU), but he is a permanent lecturer at the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI), can also apply for Mora Scholarships.

Scholarship Worth

The scholarship recipients will be paid a tuition fee at the college where study, living allowance covering the cost of living and operational (6 semesters for S3), as well as the cost of program implementation.

General Requirement For The Kemenag Scholarship

  1. Indonesian citizen (WNI):2. Status as:a. Lecturer of a civil servant at State Islamic Religious College (PTKIN); orb. Civil servants at State Islamic Religious College (PTKIN); orc. Lecturer of Foundation for Private Islamic Religious University (PTKIS); ord. Permanent Lecturer (PNS DPK and Non-PNS) at the Faculty of Islamic Religion (FAI) at Public University (PTU); ore. Civil servants at the Directorate General of Islamic Education Ministry of Religious Affairs.3. Have a master’s degree (S2) from the study program that has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT);4. The program to be taken is indispensable for program development in PTKI/institution;5. Willing to sign the contractual agreement;6. Making a Letter of Appeal to the Directorate General of Islamic Education CQ Director of Islamic Higher Education.7. Register online at http://scholarship.kemenag.go.id;

Special Requirements For The Kemenag Scholarship

A. Overseas S3 Scholarship for Lecturer

  1. Letter of Introduction from the Rector / Chairman of the college where the duty;2. Curriculum Vitae;3. Photocopy of first and final personnel decree which has been approved by the institution;4. Photocopy of valid Identity Card (KTP);5. Photocopies of diplomas and transcripts of educational grades S1 and S2 that has been legalized. The last grade cumulative grade (GPA) score of at least 3.25 (scale of 4.00) or the equivalent IPK for the scale;6. The certificate shall pass a foreign language test equivalent to TOAFL ®550 or TOEFL PBT550. The language certificate is tailored to the language of instruction at the destination college;7. Educator Certificate (Lecturer);8. National Lecturer Number (NIDN);9. The statement is not receiving scholarship assistance from the Ministry of Religious Affairs or any other institution signed on stamp duty;10. Letter of Statement of willingness to return to duty and serve the sending university at least twice of the study period (n) or in formula (2 xn), counted after graduation;11. Research Plan (proposal) Dissertation;12. Recommendations from professors in fields relevant to the discipline to be taken;13. Letter of Acceptance (LoA) of destination college or correspondence with an overseas supervising advisor (if any);

B. Overseas S3 Scholarship for Education Personnel 

  1. Letter of Introduction from the head of the work unit;2. Curriculum Vitae;3. Photocopy of first and final personnel decree which has been approved by the institution;4. Photocopy of valid Identity Card (KTP);5. Photocopies of diplomas and transcripts of educational grades S1 and S2 that has been legalized. The last grade cumulative grade (GPA) score of at least 3.25 (scale of 4.00) or the equivalent IPK for the scale;6. The certificate shall pass a foreign language test equivalent to TOAFL ®550 or TOEFL PBT550. The language certificate is tailored to the language of instruction at the destination college;7. The statement letter is not receiving scholarship assistance from the Ministry of Religious Affairs or any other institution signed on stamp duty;8. Letter of Statement of willingness to return to duty and serve the sending university at least twice of the study period (n) or in formula (2 xn), counted after graduation;9. Research Plan (proposal) Dissertation;10. Recommendations from professors in fields relevant to the discipline to be taken;11. Letter of Acceptance (LoA) of destination college or correspondence with prospective foreign supervisor (if any);

C. Domestic S3 Scholarship for Lecturers

  1. Letter of Introduction from the Rector / Head of the assigned university stating that the study program to be taken is required for the strengthening of the study program/department at the college;2. Curriculum Vitae;3. Photocopy of first staffing decree and the latest decree which has been approved by the institution;4. Photocopy of valid Identity Card (KTP);5. Photocopies of diplomas and transcripts of educational grades S1 and S2 that has been legalized. The last grade cumulative grade (GPA) score of at least 3.00 (scale of 4.00) or the equivalent IPK for the scale;6. Photocopy of English proficiency certificate with a minimum score of TOEFL ITP®500 or its equivalent;7. Educator Certificate (Lecturer);8. National Lecturer Number (NIDN);9. The statement is not receiving scholarship assistance from the Ministry of Religious Affairs or any other institution signed on stamp duty;10. The statement of willingness to return to serve and serve the sending university at least twice the term of study (n) or in the formula (2 xn), calculated after the graduation;11. Research Plan (proposal) Dissertation;12. Recommendations from professors or doctors in fields relevant to the discipline to be taken;

D. Domestic S3 Scholarship for Education Personnel 

The following are Domestic S3 Scholarship requirements;

  1. Letter of Introduction from the Rector / Head of the assigned university stating that the study program to be taken is required for the strengthening of the study program/department at the college;2. Curriculum Vitae;3. Photocopy of first staffing decree and the latest decree which has been approved by the institution;4. Photocopy of valid Identity Card (KTP);5. Photocopies of diplomas and transcripts of educational grades S1 and S2 that has been legalized. The last grade cumulative grade (GPA) score of at least 3.00 (scale of 4.00) or the equivalent IPK for the scale;6. Photocopy of English proficiency certificate with a minimum score of TOEFL ITP®500 or its equivalent;7. The statement letter is not receiving scholarship assistance from the Ministry of Religious Affairs or any other institution signed on stamp duty;8. A statement of willingness to return to duty and serve the sending university at least twice the term of study (n) or in the formula (2 xn), calculated after the graduation;9. Research Plan (proposal) Dissertation;10. Recommendations from professors or doctors in fields relevant to the discipline to be taken;

Mora Scholarship 2021 Deadlines
