About Navy Reserve Officers Training Corps

HISTORY
Formerly In 1926, the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps program (Navy ROTC) was established. Initially, there were six Navy ROTC units located at the University of California at Berkeley, the Georgia Institute of Technology. Navy ROTC College Program Benefits
Provides uniforms and Naval Science Manuals.College students selected for “advanced status” receive an assignment for up to 20 months. The advanced classification is available only from the first year of university. The amount allocated per academic month is $350 and $400, for the junior and senior year respectively.

Candidates are invited to choose five universities or colleges affiliated with ROTC in their scholarship application. It will be assigned to the first school you choose if this option is selected.Your choices between the second and fifth schools are used to measure interest in the NROTC program in these schools only.If you receive a scholarship, it will be placed in the school of your choice. Application Deadline
Formerly, the 2022 scholarship application will be open from 1 April 2022 to 31 December 2022. The application submission cycle begins in the spring approximately 18 months after the start of the school year for which we are seeking applications.
