Applicants, he said, must be between the ages of 18-35 and must be physically fit, mentally sound, and medically fit, and must be ready and prepared for 2 to 10 weeks of police training. “Allowances will be provided at the training school for trainees,” assured Supt. Kamara. He, however, emphasized that successful applicants must pass the professional police entrance examination followed by an interview. Pregnant women, Supt. Kamara said, are encouraged not to apply because they would be booted out even during the course of training when their pregnancy is discovered, adding that application forms can only be accessible at the police website www.police.gov.sl for which he urged all interested applicants to visit the site and obtain their forms. Pregnant women are not encouraged to apply, even if anyone is found pregnant during the course of training, would be immediately released”, presented ASP Kamara.
